Hello World & All That Jazz

...and with these words, starts yet another blog. Another blog by an engineer turned b-schooler turned corporate yuppie <*cough slave cough*>. Writing doesn't come naturally to me and this place is essentially a cleaner (literal & metaphorical) place cultivated from my more frequent diary entries and, so, I would imagine this would offer you my take on things I see, think, go through etc. Just why should that interest you? I don't know. Let's figure it as we go along.
I should warn you that my posts might have a date/time/location stamp manually filled in, along with the automated one, and that would, obviously, be the date/time/location the piece was thought on/at or composed on/at.
I should also warn you, as would be obvious soon enough, that I am given to ranting generally, somewhat often.

Painful List of (Mild) Pretension

I sometimes put to unsuspecting friends at random house parties, the question of the most impactful book/movie/life experience they've been through. Making a list longer than of 2 elements is a painful task. So, I don't really mean to thank the 3 individuals who tagged me on facebook to make a list of 10 most impactful books, 10 impactful most music, and 20 of most impacting hindi movies but it got me thinking for a good period to come up with a half-arsed list. The Dope Trail - Pt 3

To read the previous two instalments, read here and here respectively. <10 th July 2012, 1540 hours, Gopalapuram, Chennai> The next day, Monday or Day 3 of my trip, around afternoon, I leave for Kheerganga, with a plan to spend a night there, travelling to Tosh and then returning to the familiar lands of Kasol and eventually the plains. I started on the trek, as I realised later, quite underprepared and late for it. I was wearing slippers, without carrying any food to munch upon, and barely sufficient water – of course, with a healthy stock of ciggs, though. Definitely not the best thing if you’d be travelling in that region of sparsely located overpriced or often closed dhabas for somewhere close to 6 odd hours (~10 kms) one way.
